oh I mean, I KIN michael (michael not michael) and to some extent helen as a result (helen not helen) but I honestly feel a large part of it is

• pushback against fandom standards of assigning deeper meaning and feeling to male characters even when they have significantly less screentime as opposed to female characters
• demonization of female characters in ways they are not willing to assign to male characters
• I love michael but helen did the mysterious and complex entitity thing better and spicier and I think the hubris makes me an insane person
• the crazy mysterious yanderesque man who wants to kill and delights in terror has done before, even if michaels very very good and objectively better than the usual trope
• women*
• you know how people feel about the tall evil vampire milf? yeah
• she’s my wife (michael is also my wife)

like don’t get me wrong! I love michael and I think about everything he’s ever said and ache but ultimately I feel that helen is more developed and everytime I hear her speak my brain shuts down

I guess ultimately it’s that helen knows what she wants, and what she wants is to have fun and I think that her hedonism compared to michaels weird pseudo emo complex gets in the way of that just enough to make me favor helen. don’t get me wrong though, my real favorite is whoever I just heard last speak
